In this short segment from a recent Virtual House Church episode I address a question concerning tithing – who it’s for and how it’s supposed to be done (see Deut. 12 for more).

Regarding tithing, I believe that the Lord told me "stop giving from your calculator (law) and give from your heart". I don't believe that Matt-John are New Covenant books because Jesus hadn't died yet. They are in the NT, but still not New Covenant. I believe that the New Covenant begins with ACTS. And no New Covenant author tells us tithe. I give generously to the Lord because of and according to 2 Cor chapter 9. You are right…Grace teachers teach we are free from the law, yet they still tell us to tithe.
Wow, killing me softly with your words, I have been saying this for over ten years..
For the law part concerning tithing, investigate Melchizedek. Abraham tithed to him, and this was BEFORE the law as it were. Interesting stuff.
How do you tithe if you don't belong to a physical church and don't go to a physical church each week?? And does giving to a homeless person count as a tithe ?? My old church taught us that giving to a homeless person or a charity or anyone in need is considered alms for the poor and that is a totally separate thing from tithes
You are right on again here Rob. I had seen that UNLEARN THE LIES video on tithing a while ago. That's a great video and a great channel. Thanks as always Rob – you are a wealth of valuable information, and have great discernment.
