Animals likely have souls because they have feelings. However, the Bible does not explicitly say whether they go to Heaven or not. The Bible’s focus is on the destiny of humans, not animals.
The Bible is not clear about whether animals go to Heaven or not. The only verse that touches on this subject is Ecclesiastes 3:21. Both those who believe animals go to Heaven and those who do not use this verse to support their positions. The way it is translated can also influence the interpretation:
*”Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?”* – Ecclesiastes 3:21
**Arguments against animals going to Heaven:**
– They are irrational beings, so they cannot understand the concept of God or choose to follow Him (a condition necessary to enter Heaven). On the other hand, the Bible says that all of Nature praises God.
– They do not have a spirit (the part of us that is connected to God). But the Bible does not explicitly say whether animals have a spirit or not.
**Arguments in favor of animals going to Heaven:**
– They are pure creatures; they did not commit sin. However, the Bible teaches that all of Nature suffered the consequences of sin, and animals do not always display beautiful behavior.
– Animals are connected to God because they praise Him. Therefore, they must have a spirit. But we do not know if that praise is intentional or if their mere existence is a form of praise to God.
We cannot be certain about this matter because the Bible does not categorically support either side. This is a mystery that will only be revealed when we reach Heaven. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and this does not affect any fundamental doctrine of the Bible.
**Do Animals Have a Soul?**
The soul is the part of us that has feelings, will, and reasoning. Animals are irrational creatures, so their thinking abilities are much lower than those of humans. Still, it is evident that they think. A dog makes a very complicated calculation to catch a ball in the air, even though it doesn’t understand mathematics.
Anyone who has observed animals knows they have basic feelings, such as fear, anger, and joy. They do not have the ability to analyze, question, and express these feelings rationally, but the feelings are there. They also make choices, showing that they have their own will, even if limited.
God gave animals the breath of life, which in the Bible is always associated with the soul (Genesis 1:30; Genesis 2:7). Everything seems to indicate that animals have a soul, although it is inferior to the human soul.

Animals do not have a living soul. God said ONLY for mankind after He created us HE said Mankind has a living soul not animals. There life finishes in this world. Can we have animals in Heaven absolutely. God created them for us and if He gave us animals here on earth HE will give us animals in Heaven as well. But they are not the one we have here on earth though. Remember Death came to every thing God created because of Adam and Eve sinned against God because God created every thing for Mankind before He crated man.
