I know it's old but let's put a few facts in. No, when people where capture and rescued they didn't want to return, we have many stories, jeez. Natives paid no attention to the settlers due to fighting with other tribes. Fact, only 5% of Wagon Trains were attacked by natives, no matter what you see in the movies. By the time the natives did start paying attention it was to late. On the massacre they mention, it's a crazy stupid story to us. The tribe shaman had made a new prayer, dance, and when the handlers, people near reservations, saw this they assumed it was a war dance. So the military came to take all their guns and a deaf man who didn't understand fought against them and it set everything off, so sad. BTW, that was the last engagement of military and natives. But native life had to end for it was the end of tribal warfare which was kill them all, take what they got.
