The solution for the gun issue is one entry point at the front of schools, have armed security like at the airport, metal detectors and x-ray scanners. I guarantee will be way less, if any school shootings after that.

The only way I would support free/subsidised college courses would be where there is a shortage of qualified labour in the workforce for a field, like engineering, and iff affirmative action was removed. Basically give money to the smart ones doing worthwhile courses that will end up paying way more in taxes (which are too high to incentivise that lifestyle anyway)
