Maybe the foreign adventurism that leads to oppressing people and making them second class citizens in their own nation as you occupy them is in its self traumatic. These aren’t good wars and our reasons for being there isn’t honorable. After you do a bunch of shit that made no real sense and hurt more people than it helped you come back home and get told your a hero constantly. while being enveloped in the military worship in our mainstream culture. Some people aren’t capable of that much cognitive dissonance. Combine that with Ptsd and other brain trauma and you’ve got a problem. Good thing a lot of them become cops…
