Summer of 2014 i was in California on the Pomona Highway on my way to Hemet from Beverly Hills.
I rented a Honda Civic and started on my way to Hemet at around 11am, when i hit the Pomona Highway i was joined by this Asian dude on a 90's Suzuki sportbike.
Dude was chill, we were throwing each other handsigns, he was doing wheelies, and lots of other cool bike stunts. We stuck together for about 15 miles.
Eventually we hit serious stop and go traffic, i lost sight of him around this time. The traffic was so bad i was literally inching at a snails pace.
Eventually i just hear VROOOOOOOOOO and it was Him, lane-splitting at 65mph.
He gets about 100 yards away until eventually he slams into a Toyota Camry attempting to peak out his nose and change lanes.
All i see is the biker, 50 feet high in the air, and flipping like a ragdoll.
By the time i got there, by-standers removed his helmet. (Which is probably what ended up killing him, honestly.) and he just had that cold dead stare and was completely motionless, no breath in his chest, no blinking eyes, nothing. Lifeless.
It's amazing how one second you're bearing witness to someone enjoying life, and then the next second something stupid happens and that very life is cut short in an instant.
