  1. A few years ago, when I was in college and played a bit of pool, I stumbled across this little shop with no sign or advertising. Had no idea what it was about. There was this old guy who made pool cues like this. He had an actual full-sized elephant tusk in his shop for ivory. I would stop by from time to time, sometimes walking in on him with working with a blowtorch and lighting a cigar with it. He used gold, silver, platinum, pearl, and jewels for inlays. He uses lizard skin and specialty woods from around the world. He worked for McDermott at one point, but now he's selling cues for about $10k at the least, around $100k at most, and $20k-$30k on average. He made cues for the CEO of Toyota, the owner of the Ravens Steve Bisciotti, and Sarah Mclachlan. I learned he doesn't advertise for a reason… he is very selective on who he makes cues for. He only makes about 10-12 a year. His name was Tony and his company is Black Boar custom cues in Maryland.

  2. Ok Joe we are still waiting … we want a pool show!!!
Easy to make it entertaining: get a pro in, podcast talk for 1h (poolhall/hustling stories), play them for 1h (mic'ed up)!!
