  1. The author is smugly bigoted, and continuously fails to mention that traffic stops / writing tickets
    are an enormous money generator
I would speculate that a moving violation is a 150-200$ ticket the officer testified that she was his 5 stop of the day . The police idea that writing tickets is for the protection of the public is ludicrous it’s simply a cash grab

  2. I’m dealing with something very similar to this right now. I’m a black autistic person here in Fort Collins where there aren’t many blacks let alone autistic ones. Any person who’s heard my story, says I should write a book. It’s extensive!
21 years fighting for my freedom. And that’s a drop in the bucket. I am vocal about it though because I know they’re trying to silence me!!! I have irrefutable proof so if somehow I disappear I’d blame them!!!

I can prove the government here is doing unconstitutional, illegal things to innocent citizens to emphasize their power over our lives and their ability to uproot everything we’ve worked for.

Black groups in Fort Collins are calling it “The Plantation.” It’s that bad. Unapologetic discrimination surrounded by idle hands and turning heads.

  3. Law enforcement means 'enforcing the law'. If the law says you need to signal, and someone does not signal, they are breaking the law. He is not petty by pulling them over. He is doing his job! Period! Enforcing the law. If you think that is petty, then CHANGE THE LAW. Why have laws that you are not going to enforce? If a police officer ignores those who break the laws, and this is important, THEN those officers are over-steeping their bounds. They ENFORCE the laws, not make them; that is Legislature's job. If they are willy-nilly enforcing laws, they are no better than the law-breakers themselves (ignoring the crime is abetting a criminal). Sure, it is a minor offense, but it is an offense regardless. As an enforcer, you shouldn't get to pick and choose what laws to enforce. Otherwise, there is bias… and that then leads down a whole set of rabbit holes, not excluding claims of racism or any other -ism.

Again, I'll repeat. If you think that is petty, then CHANGE THE LAW. Why have laws that you are not going to enforce?

I'd go so far as to say that Legislature (Federal state OR local) should not MAKE laws that (a) cannot be enforced, or (b) do not have funding to support enforcement. eg. who is going to pay for the new traffic patrol to enforce these laws?
