I feel like… if you are right handed you will prefer (as a learner) to jab with your dominant hand… but your jab isn't meant to be your hardest punch. I don't know. I fight orthodox even though it seemed strange at first.
I’m right handed and fight orthodox, but when I first started boxing and had no idea what I was doing I found myself naturally switching stances a lot. I decided to stop so I could focus on my orthodox form, but I think I’m gonna try using switch stance again now. I’ve got short arms so switching stances could be a really good way of closing distance. I think I’m gonna try using southpaw at range to have my dominant hand as my jab, then throwing a strong left while switching stances to close the distance and dealing damage in orthodox stance.
…. The use of left hand is frowned upon in many Asian societies.. there are way more lefties in the west
