God already promised that Isaac would have enough heirs as there are the stars. It was a test. God wasnt just testing Abraham but showing us his promises are always kept
This is a demonstration of what difficult thing God was going to do in sacrificing his son.
Abraham was to sacrifice his son Issac. Issac was willing to lay down his life as his father asked. Issac is not Abraham and Abraham is not Issac. Issac is not greater than his father Abraham. Abraham told his son to lay his life down and Issac obeyed his father Abraham.
Sorry for spelling this out but the basics have been forgotten and replaced with false beliefs which don't allow anyone to understand the scriptures.
The Father is greater than the son. The son came and laid his life down as a sacrifice in obedience to his Father. The Father is not the son. The son is not the Father nor are they equal.
Read the Bible and focus on ALL of Jesus words as he explains himself, and keep this demonstration of Abraham and Issac in mind.
