2:29 that leaning exercise mainly targets the quads actually. But all in all, yes having your knee further than your toes is fine, you simply need to keep your weight distribution even across your feet. If all your weight goes in your toes that's when you'll feel the pressure/pain on your knee.
I don't know if I have strong hip flexors but they're definitely tight enough to twist my hip.
That is not hamstrings, it's pure quad. My god I hate people who don't understand basic movements.
