I find magicians a bit ironic because their whole shtick is entertaining people, and yet, half of the tricks they do are things that i believe most people don't really care that much about. If it's a card trick or a "magic" trick, then I know you tricked me, so it has to be entertaining enough for me to even care. If it's something crazy like the ice pick, it's like, "Wow! How does that not hurt?" or "How does he do it?" But that's not the kind of entertainment I am into. That's how I feel about a magic show, some of the tricks were entertaining, but the rest of the time I am stuck there watching something that the performer expects me to be entertained by and thus, I should reciprocate with money, or at the very least, with my applause or admiration. It's like, you are the one asking me to watch YOU. I didn't ask for any of this, and quite frankly, I didn't care for it lol
