Thank you superior asian for teaching me about Orwell the bodybuilder.
no…the first word in the quran does say read but it is in reference to education it's not saying "read" just to read the quran lol.
i'm so tired of people using an umbrella term to cover all the arab states as if they are all the same. NO they are NOT. Most North African "Arab" nations have hardly any restrictions, tons of "controversial" books are translated in arabic and readily available in their book stores too etc…Joe seems to have this long lasting issue with this. I applaud Melissa's efforts though and her project is great but she also falls into that narrative one too many times but it's fine because she is providing valuable stuff for restricted populations in some arab nations but damn..can yall chill with the generalizations for once?! It's getting tiring.
O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted. Chapter 49 verse 13. this verse say that we have to known each other not just read what quran says, don't talk about things you haven't studied. you don't know about the first word in quran nor you do know why it is " read ". you seem like an honnest person but you got this one wrong.
