It is worthwhile to speculate that Esau is once again the "wild man theme" as was Enkidu in the Gilgamesh epic. In both cases I am inclined to see Esau and Enkidu as representatives of homo neanderthalensis, the older broth and one who understands the language of the animals. These two men go through mythologies all over the world. Perhaps, Hanuman is another incarnation of that kind
