You can find community, belonging, purpose…and for the lack of a better word "spirituality" without new age woo-woo or anything supernatural. People need? Like superstition – it is a part of humanity but society could function without religion.
I don't believe in God but religion does create society coherence, we have taken it away without replacing it with a morality and some are replacing it with the dreadful doctrine of Marxism. We haven't thought enough about the morality we all must share so it's now anything goes.
I will say that when I see a couple of attractive women super pumped and happy a super strange set of beliefs I dont wonder if they have something there, I reckon they are in a cult.
