The move on 4:08 is called "Nekodamashi", the smokescreen. Many games and sports in japan have moves called nekodamashi, and it's basically blinding your oponent in order to make and unexpected move. In sumo wrestling, it is literally clapping your hands to blind your oponent, and use it do throw him off balance.
