My parents were Quakers, pacifists and educators for generations. One of those values was that God's principles were meant to be LIVED. If there was an injustice, you take real action to stop it and speak up. It sprung from the Quaker belief that when there was a dilemna, you pondered it, if called, you can share it with the group, meditate and find a solution. One thing I love about this tradition is there is no hierarchy. The community makes decisions for the community as a group. To be clear, this isn't about personal decisions, which every person is free to make for themselves.
