Every time Joe asked any question of depth and nuance Maynard says, "Oh….cool." or "Yeah…nice thought." I'm not always seeking entertainment from Joe's guests, but when guests like Maynard do everything they can to not engage AT ALL in conversation it becomes a chore to listen to. I've trained myself to be meaningfully engaged in conversation over the years and podcasts like these make me ask the question, "Once you become famous, do you just not care about meeting people half way in conversation?" Listen to the whole podcast on Spotify…Maynard literally makes zero effort to engage with Joe. It comes across as lazy and just using JRE superficially for doing business.
I really wish Maynard would stop talking about this so I can like him again.
