Moses as a Jew knew the Covenant that God made with Abraham that all new born Hebrew males must circumcised on rhe eighth day. Mises having fled to Medina and married a gentile wife who did not know nor understand tje custom of circumcision. When Moses was sent ny God to the people of Israel he knew he must circumcise his two boys. Moses must have circumcised the older boy and when his wife saw the blood that oozed out of the older boy, his wife must have refused thar the younger boy be circumcised. Thus on the road God wanted to kill Moses.
God was angry wirh Moses as Moses chose to obey his wife rather than Him.
