  1. I love the way you guys investigate the bible. Its something I've always thought could be done if anybody could do it. And the way you guys break it down, is the correct way to do it. Keep it up!

  2. Without getting too graphic isn't it possible that the women in the Abamelich story woman parts were closed. Literally. Wether Swolleness, dryness. Closed up. You get the point. Its thr only thing that would make it impossible to have intercourse. And why it says "their wombs were closed" the text seems to indicate they were in pain. Nothing is impossible with God.

Whatever happened had to be something out of the ordinary and obvious that it was something done by the Most High.

Great show Zen and Rob. Been listening to you both for years. God bless

  3. The Bible makes it seem that Hagar and Ishmael were banished when he was a baby, or at least that’s the impression I always got, but now I find out Ishmael was a teen, and naked at that, when they were sent away. Also the various narratives don’t specify the time that elapsed between Abimelech (sp?) taking Sarah “to wife” and the birth of Isaac. Because she was so pretty, I always imagined her to be relatively young when Abraham and Sarah arrived in Egypt where the same thing happened with pharaoh, and the place spoken of here when the king Abimelech was smitten with her. Therefore decades must have passed between that incident and the birth of Isaac, right? But now I’m wondering if Sarah had any wrinkles in her old age, or did she still look gorgeous, because it appears that Abraham didn’t since he asked Yehovah to make him look old so as not to confuse him with Isaac!

Also it’s really glossed over his reasons for doing so, but isn’t it kind of cowardly to say Sarah is just his sister, (which in itself is disturbing but I guess it was okay back then to marry your sister or half-sister?). Why didn’t he trust in Yehovah to keep him and Sarah safe? Being a coward is not a sin I suppose but marrying one’s sister sure is according to the Torah. Was it acceptable in Yehovah’s eyes to marry one’s sister because it was before the law was given to Moses?

There was also an interesting mention of Lot and his disgusting daughters. Great readings, I’ve enjoyed it immensely. Yeshua bless you both, shalom.
