Psychedelics deteriorated my ego for the better, I used to have a really bag ego but I was quickly humbled, those bad trips were brutal, I used to do a lot of bad things and after my last trip it really changed me, I got anxiety which I think was a part of my ego getting rebranded and reborn , now Iβm doing things beneficial towards my self
LSD caused ego loss is very very bad. There is no positivity to it. I realized this in 69-70 and quit Acid over it. I clearly remember the persistent thoughts I had when tripping. "EGO is bad". "EGO leads to evil." These were thoughts that came to me but I certainly never thought that before. However, I think some personality types are more vulnerable to this than others. I do think hallucinogenics are much overrated for self insight and perception.
