  1. So, I just wanted to bring up a point that they missed. What about taking all the money from civil forfeiture and the budget many police stations spend on unnecessary military grade weapons and vehicles and put that towards social programs? There are massive misallocations of funds in policing that were problematic before we were talking about defunding police. Why don’t we start by reallocating that towards public mental health professionals and better training for police?

  2. How about we defund the politicians instead of the police. Police make $55,000 a year at best to help and protect us. Politicians make $250,000 – $1,000,000 a year to screw us and cater to corporations.

  3. Lumping all people who believe in defund the police as basically not understanding how the system works is very dismissive and silly. It's a complicated conversation with many varying opinions. But a prominent belief is that money allocated to the system that is not being used properly, effectively, and/ or efficiently should be reallocated, in part to underpaid police. The police institution is deeply flawed, and a "good" officer can't do good in a corrupt system, at any level.

  4. You can push back against the insane defund the police agenda by not voting for democrats. They abolished the Minnesota PD and got rid of the anti crime unit in NYC so anyone who says that democrats won’t actually do it is blind.
