my constant reminder from the book if Isiah "send me" became a reality in 2006. I made a vow to serve under the bombardment when the 122 mm rocket came crashing near our barrack during one of the 45 days bombardment in 1968 Tet Offensive. that one particular time a rocket landed 10 yards from our wooden barrack at 2-3 am. the shock wave sent my body upright. as i was reaching for the bunkbed railing, a piece of red hot shrapnel penetrated my thumb. I did not feel the pain until an hour later while in the bomb shelter until daylight. my thumb was swollen with pain. i went to the base clinic to check. the doctor told me "son you got yourself a purple heart". fast forward nearly 4 decades, my heart has the burning desire to go to China mission during those learning church years submitted to God calling, a reminder of the vow I took with God came to mind. we were invited to do a short mission in Hainan China for the summer Vacation Bible term. after ended, I wanted to remain here. Problem was we have no way get to the fund in Hong Kong to continue. our fund was depleted. miraculously, after praying, God bestowed a full time aviation teaching position since I did retired from a major airlines as overhaul technician. God provided me a King's salary all expense met for three years and my wife and I were able to teach and gave the Good News to the 360 students in my class. There were multiple lost souls saved as well. God hath HIs timing according to his plan. What a great God we serve!
