Get right church and let's go home! Revelation chapters 2 & 3 are warnings for us to examine ourselves. I believe the letter to the church of Smyrna, is written to those who will miss the rapture. Most believe that the entire church will be raptured, but that defeats the purpose of Jesus warning the church to repent ("I know your works"). I believe God will select a bride from the church; and that would consist of faithful believers without spots, wrinkles or blemishes in their garments. I don't believe the bride that God chooses for His Son, will be argumentative, talkative, stubborn, self-righteous, hateful, prideful or name calling. I believe the bride that God chooses for His Son, will have the character of His Son, Jesus Christ. Not only will the tribulation period be the worst time EVER, but it will be a very confusing time. There are some who are eagerly awaiting for the rapture, but will be left behind because their garments are stained (Matt. 7:13-14); and they will be mocked by unbelievers, those who don't believe in the rapture and also by those who believe in a mid or post rapture. I believe that one of the absolute worst moments ever, is when a believer realizes that he or she has missed the rapture…..and I don't wish that on no one! We're told in 1 Peter 4:18-19; "And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear" (the ungodly are lukewarm believers and the sinners are the unsaved)? Romans 13:11-14 says; "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation (The Rapture) nearer than when we believed".
