Quest4Truth and NowYouSeeTV: Comments on Q4T Episode 6 and mini Flat Earth debate FYTube

This was our sixth interactive program where Doug Hamp and Rob Skiba partner with NowYouSeeTV to address questions from the audience. Warning: This particular episode was probably not our finest hour (or two). We got perhaps a little bit too passionate in this one – regarding our disagreements about Flat Earth. But hey! We’re human.

To participate in the next live show, please be sure to watch Quest4Truth Episode 7 first:

  1. I've become increasingly convinced that it's more difficult to convince the faithful of the flat earth than true atheist or agnostic skeptics. Not sure why, but I suspect it has something to do with the fact that those who are strong of faith are more resistant to the idea that they've been deceived than others. They've read Holy Scriptures and understood God's word for so long, and interpreted it in a ball-earth context for so long, that they're unwilling to consider the possibility.

"I love God and I know the Bible. It's my duty to stop you from being deceived. Me deceived? NO WAY!"

For these people, you have to start slow. Don't show them anything but fake NASA nonsense until they admit what it is. Then move on to the implications. Starting with the FE is a bit like dropping a person who can't swim into the deep end of the pool.

  2. As a limited in intelligence student,  I have been searching for a(n) Hebrew explanation to support a spherical earth model that comes from a Holy Spirit Discerning person…well, the Michigan-based Reverand Jim Wilhelsen apparently has a most valid (or seemingly valid) perspective,  no offense Reverand Jim, What do those of you with slightly higher I.Q.s think or discern (or both) about his July 13th,2016 supposition? Please.

  3. Digital telescopes have code in them to make the wandering stars look like planets. If you use a non digital telescope they just look like stars. OR SO I"VE HEARD ANYWAY that they are manipulating the image to make them look like planets…

But I remember one of the only times I've looked through a good telescope it was non digital and I saw neptune, mars and a few others and they all looked like stars.

    P.S. You guys are awesome.
