To say that the scientific consensus is that the universe comes from nothing is a strawman. On top of that scientists who believe that the universe had a beginning does not exclude that it had a cause or that there were some actual physical conditions prior to the beginning of space-time. Nobody knows but most lean towards a prior condition.
The guy seems to contradict himself. First he defends big bang theory and then says (5:05)there are findings that refute the theory. In minute 6:00 Joe asks a great question.
My personal opinion is that we should be more humble in interpreting universe. We haven’t left our solar system yet and we claim we know the beginning of the universe?!?! We can barely go to the moon lol
