Adam…you mentioned lying as in baring false witness but you mentioned Jacob’s lying was different. Could you please do a study/teaching on the difference between those types of lies? I ask this because I have had a situation where I have had to take actions to move and protect myself and dog for safety reasons and have had to “hide” certain truths to protect us while also seeking Torah to do the right thing and do it the right way. I can elaborate privately more about what I am specifically dealing with but I have been trying to find answers regarding what lies are wrong and if they all are wrong especially when it’s done to protect a life.
