  1. the court house in the background of the Jason Aldean's video, the American flag is hanging in the exact spot of the most infamous lynching in Tennessee history in 1927. Any one who thinks that's not deliberate is naive.

  2. The outrage is from where they chose to shoot the video. The building they are preforming in front of is the scene of a famous lynching of a black man. He was hung exactly where the American flag is hanging. Coincidence?

  3. I can't find anyone on either side that shares my view. I'm not a criminal or sympathizer and I'm sickened by moral decay in current society yet I still happen to think this song sucks balls on a purely artistic level. The lyrics are just dumbed down candor. They aren't clever, insightful, or original with a weak rhyme scheme. It's glorified, over produced, trite, formulaic crap. Fevered controversy for a mediocre song at best. The fact that society has gotten so far to the left with this woke liberal crap that it dry clouds the fact that this song is just an all around POS speaks volumes on how we have regressed as a culture. Just to reiterate, I'm not a woke liberal, and I don't believe in censorship, but I find it funny how Aldean sings about daring anyone to burn a flag yet simultaneously pisses and moans about freedom of speech and expression. You can't have it both ways. Either you accept peaceful expression for everyone or you STFU. It's the general public who should decide how much airplay this song gets but ,by the same logic, if someone feels compelled to burn a @#$@ piece of cloth with an emblem for whatever reason, they should be allowed. Peaceful dissent is a healthy expression of a true democracy. I happen to find rabid blind nationalism to be an obnoxious plague of the 21 century and is just another way to avoid criticism and accountability, while also causing division amongst humanity. A flag is just a @#$@ symbol. It has come to represent different things to different people. I have values and morals, but i don't choose to reduce them to a material object, and I'm not going to revere a piece of fabric so as to cater to your fragile belief system in the fear that you might get offended? Isn't that right out of the snowflake liberal playbook? If you're so secure in your "patriotism" and what that flag means to you, it shouldn't bother you what someone chooses to do with a representation of it. Reminds me of how extremists threaten violence against anyone who tries to depict the prophet Mohamed in any way. "Leave symbols for the symbol minded" – George Carlin. This particular brand of Dime-store pick and choose "patriotism" is flaming hypocrisy at its best. 😂
