In Revelation 12:13, the woman is Israel and not the church. It was Israel that “brought forth the man child”, not the church. The “church” didn’t exist when Jesus was born; it came about after Christ’s resurrection. Jesus told Peter that he would build His church on him (Peter) and the church in Antioch was the first church.
My husband and I were baptized Adventist in the early 1990's. We have slipped away until recently when I saw your and Pastor Stephen Bohr's talks and we watch several of them daily. I went to church yesterday at the Bremerton, WA Seventh Day Adventist Church for the first time in 5 years. Pray for me that Satan doesn't entice me again to follow my own thoughts. Thank you for helping the Holy Spirit open my eyes again to God's will for my life.
