I have never believed in millions of miles away stuff even as a child I questioned the reality of what they Think they can see with a telescope. There is no way to actually measure the distance you can see with any device since you do not know how far away anything actually is …there is too much assumption and too little evidence

You are off by trillions of miles. A light year is over 5.8 trillion miles. 'They' are saying that star (sun) is roughly 40 LYs away, so the distance would be around 230 trillion miles away. I'd say that is a more insane distance. How do they tell the difference between the star's light dimming from "planets" passing in front of it from the star having sunspots or fluctuating its output?
