Does pain free mean easy? Absolutely not. It was HARD work in the same way that spending 12 hours straight at the gym working out would be very hard work. I pushed for 5 hours and the EMS even came at the last second to try to take me to the hospital but you can still work hard and have fun at the “gym”.

I've had 4 homebirths/freebirths. As a midwife myself no way was I setting foot in a hospital. My 'midwife' was my ex housemate whom I actually trained when she was a student. I called her to come have a coffee when I started pushing with my 1st and 2nd, with my 3rd and 4th, I realised I didn't actually need or want anyone else there. Congratulations
