  1. Obesity is not a disease, it is my responsibility to not stuff my face with too much food so I don't get fat. I take responsibility for what I put into my body. I am obese. Probably 50 or 60 pounds overweight. The problem with saying it is a disease is that you cannot control what you put into your body. I can but I have a weakness of not wanting to stop stuffing myself. I have stopped eating too much late at night because it causes a lot of heartburn before I go to bed and it has helped with the heartburn.

  2. It takes discipline, and activity. I don’t see what is wrong with trying to get people to do that. No need to body shame but I think everyone should be encouraged to lead a healthy lifestyle. We are so worried about access to healthcare and the incredible costs associated with it but nobody ever deals with the root cause, too many people are in poor health because of food choices and our sedentary lifestyle.

  3. Was 260 when I graduated high school. Lost 80 pounds working at a warehouse job, but began to gain it back when I went back to school. I would ride my bike or would walk twice a week and instead of going to McDonalds and the gas station for food I would make sure I had eggs, chicken and rice in the fridge to fight the urge. You're the one responsible for what you put into your body.
