  4. A day of remembering and rest. I like the question about doing dishes because typically women have to cope with things like that, and most women probably consider it to be work and maybe not their favorite work. Do you leave dishes out for the remnants of food to start stinking, or to create a welcome mat for ants to come in to torment you, or do you wash the dish? I don’t feel like it’s a big deal to squirt a little soap onto a plate, rub it for a couple seconds under hot water and stick it in the dish drainer. Especially if you made the food ahead of time. (I’m not actually to that point yet, but I’m thinking about it). But today is trash day and I was in the middle of listening to this when I went to my freezer and removed a chicken carcass of bones that I had made Broth out of, and took it out to the curb and put it in the bin. It made me wonder if there are women who just put their dirty dishes into their refrigerator until after the Sabbath, LOL… I mean, I wasn’t interested in having ants swarming in my trash bin Or smelling the bones getting stinky over a number of days, and I found a logical solution to that problem… And now I realize it could apply to a Sabbath approach to dirty dishes!

  5. The Sabbath was for Israel only, not the church (Exodus 31:12-18, Leviticus 23:1-3). Paul says to rightly divide the word for a reason (II Timothy 2:15). The 4th commandment was the only command that was not moral and it was not universal for everyone to observe. The sabbath was part of the past Jewish dispensation, it now has been abolished at the cross (Colossians 2:16-17).
