The American dream is not keep tearing down everything over and over even when what we figured out works is working. Its to have a small government that allows the citizen the freedom to achieve success with his own decisions while having minimal laws that keep us safe from threats inside and out. The only time Americans fought was when their rights were being exploited by their government not because they just randomly decided to burn down civilization and create a new one based on nothing but chaos every few years. We still heavily based our sense of rights on Britain and we only improved it. We didnt think it had nothing of value and tore the entire thing down.
