For anyone who listened to last week's Hebrew Gospels, For the first time in the 3 some odd years , Adam stated as truth something that has no scriptural basis: That Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. Knowing Adam as I and all of Us do, I do not think for a minute that He intended to mislead anyone, including Himself. The Idea that Mary Mag was a Prost. came from a sixth century Pope who identified the Unknown Prostitute who washed Christ's Feet with Her Hair as Mary Magdalene. If someone were ever a Prostitute in scripture, scripture will say that. Christ's own genealogy in Matt. Chapt. 1: v.5 You will see that Rahab (the Hero of hiding the spies at Jericho), was married to Salmon and Mother of Boaz who married Ruth ….". So, if they named Christ's own 8th Great Grandmother as someone who once was a Prostitute. why would they not say that Mary Mag. was if She were? Anyway, I am providing all of the ref. in Scripture in every Gospel so that You all can see for Yourselves that this is not true.
(Matt.27:56-61, 28:1; Mark15:40-47and 16:1; Luke 8:2, 24:10; John 19:25, 20:1-18 ) I believe that these are all the references to Mary Mag. in the Gospels for Your Perusal . In fact, in Luke 8:2 We will see that Mary was part of a delegation of Women who had been healed of Demon possession by our Savior, in fact as written in Luke 8:3 we read that another of the Women was the wife of Chuza (Herod's own Steward) named Joanna who had Her demons cast out as did all of these Women. At that time, Jewish Women were not allowed inheritance from their Families, Yet, this delegation financed Christ's Ministry "Provided from their Substance", So, We might infer that the male members of their Family were so grateful to Christ for healing their daughters and wives, that they gave their female relatives the money to provide "Substance". I hope that no one will ever refer to Mary Mag. as a Prostitute, simply because it is not in Scripture.
