I grew up in a relationship where my parents only stayed together for the kids. It was awful and they CONSTANTLY fought like throwing things screaming at the top of their lungs punching walls, like I saw all that shit. It makes me mad bc at that point you are not staying together for the kids you make the kids miserable. They see your interactions they see the way you navigate your relationship and it gets internalized. And big surprise I got stuck in an abusive relationship for over 6 years because my parents literally never taught me what a healthy relationship looks like or how to leave when it’s not so I just put up a lot of bullshit not knowing that’s not normal. So to anybody who does want to stay for the kids Don’t.
