NFL’s LA Rams Sammy Watkins believes the earth is flat!
Sports Illustrated: I can’t believe I’m writing another story about an athlete who believes the Earth is flat, but dammit, athletes keep on believing the Earth is flat!
Sammy Watkins is the latest to subscribe to the ludicrous theory that the earth is flat, despite pictures of the earth and air travel being a thing and a ridiculously overwhelming scientific consensus that the world is spherical.
Lindsey Thiry of the Los Angeles Times tweeted the frustrating news on Tuesday night.

You guys have to give people a break. Remember how you were before Flat Earth? I do. I've been down a rabbit hole for the last 15, as spirituality/religion and conspiracies happens to be my favorite topic. When I stumbled upon Flat Earth, I only looked into it because it was a conspiracy I haven't explored yet. I thought a few minutes in, I would debunk it and move on, but at least I would know about the topic. Well, I couldn't debunk it and I can never go back to believing the globe, because once you hear the truth, it's hard to live the lie. So, be a bit more understanding with people. They have to come to this information, as most flat earthers do. Some people will never wake up, but it makes no difference. This is moving like a freight train, and I'm sure there are lots of closeted flat earthers, and they are simply fearful of the backlash. I'm only getting to a point now where I will bring up the topic and not care what people think. Flat Earth is like drug withdrawal, it hurts when the indoctrination begin leaving you, but you become clean from it.
Spiritual Freedom belongs to Christ and those in Him – bondage belongs to the world and those in him. The Earth is the Lords and to His people it has been promised.
Let it be said – Lord, we ask you, if your will, give this man Your strength, Your courage, and Your wisdom for the battle that he is about to partake. May his faith run deep. In Your Name we ask
