The automation of production is not the result of people buying iPhones. It is the result of the heads of corporations and politicians working very hard to replace us all with machinery. It won’t be long before 80% of us are no longer involved in the production of anything nor will we have the capability of being a consumer. At this point we will be completely useless and nothing more than a burden. The new jobs being created require high cognitive capability which excludes the majority of the population. There doesn’t seem to be much hope for what was once considered a normal human being and it is definitely not a choice of the general population to head in this direction. It is being forced on the majority of us by those in power who are serving their own interests with no regard for the rest of us.
