Crowd work can be fun but I do prefer written material over everything. It gets annoying hearing “What do you do for a living” or “You guys a couple?” all the time.
“Comics that will trick you” with their actual act…makes me think of that Steve redhead comic whose entire online presence is PWNING HECKLERS, but you can’t find a single person who could ever name a single joke of his.
Crowd work is important. I'm not even a comedian but I seen Stavy in Boston and his crowd work really makes everyone feel like we all here to laugh at ourselves and have a great time.
