I see the blessing in the point about giving Jesus our best but I’m concerned that this concept portrayed this way breeds fanaticism. God asks for a 10th and He has promised to give us more in return. A 10th does become more of a sacrifice the more you make but the bottom line here is that He commands a 10th and anything else is supposed to be given freely. Cheerfully! Not hurtfully. “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV Be wise everyone and a cheerful giver.
