In Genesis1:1 God created the heavens and the earth. A perfect creation. In Genesis 1:2 He destroyed His creation and the earth became formless. Before this destruction humans existed in cities and had farms. Read Jeremiah 4:23. The giants of old. God always leaves a remnant, including Satan, when He destroys the world.
After the destruction of Genesis 1:2 God created Adam and Eve to replenish the earth as THE FIRST HUMANS IN HIS OWN IMAGE AND LIKENESS. (The pre-Adamic race were not created in His image and likeness).
