As an army veteran I have to say thank you for speaking for us. I have been getting medical care from the VA for over a decade, and while I am grateful to have any coverage I have been required to jump through hoops because the protocols are bureaucratic and the doctors' hands are tied. I am also one of many many veterans fighting for disability compensation, which was denied even though I was seen for lumbar spine issues shortly after basic training. The doctor who I saw for my compensation exam works for the VA hospital, which to me is clearly a conflict of interest. Even if we never go to another war the US government needs to do better by veterans.
Hey Joe, I think it's time to SHUT THE VA DOWN, recruiting offices, and MEPS. I'm tired of waiting. I will be dead before I get a new tent. Semper fi Earthlings
All veterans should be given free healthcare for life, regardless of whether or not the issues with their bodies/minds/spirits is because of the war or not.
The end.
Give them a military veteran number that can be used at any healthcare provider, and that provider sends the govt the bill, and the govt signs the check. There should also be an outreach organization that checks in with vets, not the other way around.

They just throw pills at you. Just big pharma in another setting.
Cancel culture and choosing not to buy a product because of views is not the same thing, Joe.
