This is part 1 in a new series of videos I’m putting together regarding the stark contrast in the various views “bible scholars” have concerning the shape and nature of our world and its place in the cosmos. The full length version of the clips I used here can be see in the following links:

arghh!…this Anderson guy gives me the creeps!
Bible is truth. In my opinion, though, the Bible does not affirm the shape of the earth
with 100% certainty (flat vs spherical), except maybe only in the eyes of each
interpreter. Several words or phrases: (pillar, foundation, firmament, circle, molten
glass, and immovable), each having multiple possible meanings, (considering the
possibility of metaphors and "figures of speech" used in language), seem to me to be
a common reason for for the different beliefs among Bible believers.
Literal interpretations of the above words would seem to confirm more toward a flat
earth theory; however, when considering possible metaphorical language,
multiple word definitions, and figure-of-speech usage (all of which are abundant in
many parts of the Bible), then a spherical shape is also possible.
Since one's belief in whether the earth is flat or round has no bearing on one's
eternal destiny, perhaps maybe it was by design (?) that the Bible speech used can
enable interpretation to go either way, on this particular subject.
For that reason, it may be wise to not debate it among Christians, especially if one
wears a flat-earth tin foil hat, and the other wears a spherical-globe tin foil hat.
The Bible also says not to judge others, not to relent to anger, and did I hear the one dude say that he hates something right before he declared how angry he is at the 'lies being spread' by Flat Earthers? The funny thing is from what I've been seeing, every single person that defends the globe gets totally bent out of shape. Every time I've heard from the flat earth side of things it is been objective and pretty respectful, really. Furthermore, listening to people that say that the idea of the earth being flat is ridiculous, in my opinion, absolutely boggles my mind when looking at the alternative view: a bunch of ball shaped planets spinning and rotating around the big ball sun that is somehow 93 million miles away as we fly through space. Even better is the idea that somehow there are satellites fixed in place out there taking pictures of it all. Good grief! Most people that believe in the heliocentric model have not even investigated any further from what was taught in school. I say if you don't have any current research under your belt then zip your lip.
I have never heard of a circle with four corners. I'm calling BS.
This is gold, Rob. Thank you!
