We live in the end times; and many believe we are one of the final generations. Because of this, most of us grew up with a heart void of the true love of Elohim, the creator of our souls. As a result of this, we have lived our lives with a longing in our hearts that was never fully satisfied. We were led to fill it with whatever the world said would make us happy. Homes, cars, clothing, jewelry, college degrees, careers, video games, sexual gratification, parties, drunkenness, drugs, medications and much more.
What many of us have experienced and realized, none of these things come with lasting satisfaction. In fact, in many cases, they become an irrational addiction, weighing us down with extreme highs and lows. Today, we will share with you, how you can break this heavy chain, these needless yokes from off your life, that you may walk as he designed you to, free and filled with joy, regardless of what comes your way.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. I have faith in gravity, so I don't walk of the edge of a tall building. Faith in action. That one is easy.
I have faith in Yahua. I believed that what He says is true. He says not to be drunk on wine, but on HIS Spirit. And yet I drank to the point of drunkenness every single day. Anywhere between 8 and 20 STD drinks in a night. It was a living hell on earth. A constant cycle of craving, deception, drinking, sinning and then the guilt and consequences, both physical and spiritual. I knew His Word. I knew medically and spiritually why it was harmful. I'm a Dr !! Unbelievable. I knew His word, the facts. I wanted desperately to choose sobriety every single moment of every day, and yet, when that craving got to it's most intense, I'd find myself drinking without even thinking about it, leave alone praying.
I used to drink from waking to sleeping.
Now, praise Yah, I might have 1 or 2 wines at a special occasion/event. I could NEVER have done it on my own.
That is not the only addiction He has destroyed in me.
I don't know how He's done it. I don't have any magic formula/techniques to overcome addictions. All I know for sure is, if your heart before God is seeking after His righteousness (which we all know leads to life to the fullest, way better than addictive sarisfaction which is temporary), and you keep trying and praying, He WILL show you a way out. Uniquely tailored for you.
He gave me a vision once, when I first repented and asked for help. I was at the bottom of a well or some sort of underground bore. Very deep. Nothing much to grab onto to get out. Yahua told me, that if I take the tiniest step I can, He will Hiself lift me up many times more than my effort. And He did.
I got out of that pit.
Praise and glory be to Yah for His long suffering, mercy and supernatural power to anhialate the hold addictions have over us. And for His Torah, our guidebook through this enemy territory as we wait for His return. Let is all pray for eachother. Let our addiction be Him. 🙏💜
