I do like to have discussions with people in the comments on topics I don’t agree with but if they’re arguments are stronger and I have nothing that stands against them I try to look deeper into that topic and adjust my position. Well at least I think I do. But to me it feels like people would rather stay ignorant and right according to they’re opinion, then learn
The polarization isn't even the worst effect of these types of algorithms and propaganda… People have actually been convinced to support and fight for some of the most horrific and unjust treatment of the other people. Most of the victims of this kind of slander and false witness propagandizing are not only innocent but are also among the most vulnerable people in the world.
