Theolgians Gone Wild: Did Isaiah Mean Circle or Ball/Sphere/Globe (.. or even a cylinder)? FYTube

I can’t believe I actually have to explain this to people…

Yes, Isaiah 40:22 says the “circle of the Earth” – but we see in Proverbs 8:27 that this circle was INSCRIBED into the face of the deep. KJV says, “set a compass” but the Hebrew words used mean “inscribed (set) a circle (compass).” If a circle is inscribed INTO something else with depth, it need not be a cylinder! But good luck explaining how you can INSCRIBE a SPHERE into something.

  1. Flat in terms of the many bodies of water being level. If indeed water covers nearly 70% of the earth that's a lot of level waters. Mountains & valleys on land or above 'sea level'. It's comical how the term flat causes so many peoples brains to malfunction. Bottom line is the notion of spherical earth is quite obviously science fiction.
