Doug Batchelor most people are a Judoe-Christian not a real Christian. Because you follow the Law of Old Testament for salvation. Christians are under the New Testament. When a contract/ covenant ends you can no long use it to go by, you much use the new one. Jesus said do not mix the old with new. Jesus Christ is the end of the law. Romans 10 : 4 For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness unto everyone that believeth. When a person turns to law they loss their faith. Romans 4 : 14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: 15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. Galatians 5 : 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. A Christian is saved by Grace only Ephesians 2 : 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. I know you may not be able to understand because Satan has blinded the eyes of many. @ Corinthians 4 ; 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Jesus Christ rose on the first day of the week, that is the Lord Day. That why most true Christians follow it.
Scripture says the law of Moses came 430 years after Abraham , and Scripture says where there is no law is no imputing of sin, that’s why when Abraham committed adultery with Hagar and had Ishmael, it was not called adultery, it was not called a sin, and Abraham was not punished for it. Why? Because the law of Moses which said adultery is a sin had not been given yet. But when king David committed adultery with Bathsheba it was considered adultery then, because the law of Moses had been given by that time.
Sorry but that’s just plain wrong about The law of Moses.
There was not a drop of faith or grace in the law of Moses. It was 100% works-based, their righteousness came from keeping every bit of the law – all 613 statutes ordinances, commands, and laws down to the last Jott and tittle.
Noah had faith and received grace. Abraham believed God and was justified, But the law of Moses had no grace and required no faith – as proven by scripture that says grace came by Jesus Christ, and said that the law was our school master before faith came, but after faith came we are no longer under a school master.
You know after reading God's word, I love to listen to it and I have learned I must talk about Him as well. I am so glad we can share these videos.
