You know what is humorous? churches that came 1800 years after the Christian church was started….. trying to tell Christians that we are wrong…. you’re a bunch of Cults and the apostle Paul warned about you…. you should heed to his warning… where he told you….. do not follow anyone that comes after the church he started….read the Bible….. you have a different doctrine than the early Christian church this is why Christians do not accept you as Christians
The early Christian church called it the eighth day….. the new day…… the Lords day
Revelation chapter 1 verse 10 John said I was in the spirit on the Lord’s day (what day is this) It’s the first day of the week is Sunday that’s what the early church called the Lords day, the eighth day, the new day, the first day of the week on the Jewish calendar it’s a new covenant a new era. SON DAY
passages of Scripture such as Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Colossians 2:16-17, and Revelation 1:10 indicate that, even during New Testament times, the Sabbath is no longer binding and that Christians are to worship on the Lord’s day, Sunday, instead.
The early compared the observance of the Sabbath to the observance of the rite of circumcision, and from that they demonstrated that if the apostles abolished circumcision (Gal. 5:1-6), so also the observance of the Sabbath must have been abolished.
74AD. Early church and sabbath The Letter of Barnabas “We keep the eighth day [Sunday] with joyfulness, the day also on which Jesus rose again from the dead” (Letter of Barnabas 15:6–8 [A.D. 74]).
70 AD. The Didache “But every Lord’s day . . . gather yourselves together and break bread, and give thanksgiving after having confessed your transgressions, that your sacrifice may be pure. But let no one that is at variance with his fellow come together with you, until they be reconciled, that your sacrifice may not be profaned” (Didache 14 [A.D. 70]).
Hope this helps.
The Lords day (Sunday)
The last day….Jesus said I will raise you up on the last day. Look this up in Greek it means the last day of your life when you draw your last breath This is why Christians believe in an instant resurrection of the spirit not the body We do not believe in soul sleep like Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons and Seventh-day Adventist and Islam you all have that in common
The day of the Lord ( his second coming)
The day of vengeance (the battle of Armegedden)
these are 4 different phrases and they mean different things
it’s interesting to me how you would follow a woman from the 1800s without even researching the true church you will just believe whatever you’re told about Jesus’s church the first century church
Your like sheep who will follow anyone
you believe Jesus’s church went into a full apostasy they never did
you believe they all became Catholic they never did
these are things your religion taught you they are not historical they are not factual and they are not biblical nowhere in the Bible did Jesus ever say my church will go into a full Apostasy
Jesus told the Parable about the wheat and Tares he said leave My Wheat alone let the tares grow with them the false religions will spring up and grow with Jesus’s church he firmly planted
Jesus knew his church wasn’t going anywhere and when you believe this you’ll see that there was no need for the Mormons or the Jehovah witnesses or Islam or Buddha or seventh day Adventist or every other false God that sprang up
