If you don't want people to move to your state, then tell you governor Abbot to stop courting hi-tech CEOs and luring them to your state with lower corporate taxes. There is a negative for every positive in this moving from California. Not only your property taxes are going up, your affordable housing is no longer, your traffic jams, lack of water, environmental issues…but… there are issues with schools, childcare, healthcare… on top of your traditions and values. Local Texans have been suing Elon Musk with his Space X and his Tesla factories. If you don't want them there… then raise the corporate taxes like California did.

When I was kid I remember seeing bumper stickers all over central Oregon saying " Don't Californicate Oregon". This was late 60s and 70s. But…they came anyway and brought their F'ed up politics with them! The very politics they were fleeing California because of! Then they saw their out…their property in LA. or San Fran Sicko was worth WAY more than they thought so they sold and moved to stable, sane Oregon but brought their stupid mind-numbing politics with them and now my beloved home state is just as stupid and mind-numbing as Southern California!
