Any forgiveness of sin is through sacrifice offering. The son of God himself, Jesus, was offered as a sacrifice for humans. Angels who rebel against God cannot be saved because Jesus did not die for them. This is what I think.
God makes the garden of Eden
God makes Adam and Eve. Puts them in the garden

What are they guarding it from?
Satan was a spirit being called a cherubim. He was not an angel, which too is a spiritual being. He can appear as an angel or anything else he wants to appear as to deceive mankind. There were only 5 created cherubim. Lucifer being the 5th cherub that fell. Leaving only four.
There are many spirit beings but that dies not make them an angel.
A study of the 5 cherubim is a great study in its own. A study of the various spirit beings and what the Bible describes them as in their appearances is also a good study. Also something else to study, nowhere in the Bible does it say that any Spiritual being other than mankind prays.
